The Lay-up Production Technician at Innovative Circuits performs job tasks and duties that contribute to the manufacturing of rigid and flex printed circuit boards. Our technicians are assigned to follow a set of specific customer requirements designed by our engineering department in the production of circuit boards. The shift available is:

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-Midnight

The starting pay is $21.00 per hour. Additional compensation may be available commensurate with experience. All positions are direct hire.

Most positions require training on the first shift for 3-6 weeks. There is occasional overtime on Saturdays paid at time and half after working 40 hours in a work week. Due to industry requirements no cell phones are allowed on our production floor.

Benefits eligibility is earned upon completion of two full calendar months of employment. The employee is eligible for our benefits package including medical (Blue Cross Blue Shield), dental, vision, paid time off, 401K, etc.

No prior circuit board shop experience is required. If you can follow directions, do basic math computations, work with attention to detail while maintaining a sense of urgency, speak and write English the company will provide training, guidance and support while you hone your skills in this specialized field and build your career.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Communicate verbally, read and write using the English language to the degree necessary to perform the job

• Maintain a positive attitude, receptive to training and performance feedback with an ability to learn new things

Preferred Requirements
• Two years in the printed circuit board industry
• Minimum two years’ experience in process manufacturing with transferable skills similar to those used in the manufacture of circuit boards
• Practical understanding of Lean Principles
• Ability to read blueprints

The Laser Technician will operate two ESI Laser Drills simultaneously to drill medium to high tolerance holes in panels. On going training is provided to independently perform complex and standard machine setups involving loading numerical control (NC) coded instructions, computer numerical control (CNC) programs, aligning the pinning of the panels, visually and mechanically inspect the panels, and make required adjustments.

The job schedule is second shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-Midnight. There will be occasional mandatory overtime before/after the job shift and/or Saturday. This job is direct hire and training is provided.

Responsibilities
• Operate Laser and/or Laser Milling Machine
• Operate UV and CO2 Lasers
• Enter numerical control (NC) absolute and incremental instructions
• Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programs
• Proficient use of the Cartesian Coordinates of three dimension
• Understand G-code metric-based instructions
• Understand sets of M-code commands
• Use the American and Metric standards of measurement
• Use calipers, micrometers, eye loupes and microscopes to thousands of an inch
• Read and interpret blueprint dimensions
• Make set-up decisions which conform to customer specifications
• Observe production control scheduling
• Perform all the necessary tasks to keep multiple machines at or near capacity
• Evaluate and discontinue processing of non-conforming product
• Inspect completed work for acceptance or failure to comply with expected results
• Alert supervisor when products lack conformity to customer specifications
• Learn all facets of the machine and cross train in all NC processes
• Routine machine maintenance
• Other job duties as directed by supervisory staff
